One rhythm that I have found both vital and transformational in my life is reading through and studying scripture. This is an annual rhythm for me. And although I have grown to love this journey, there have been many years where I experienced the collision of desire and disappointment.

A new year is just around the corner. Many people will spend the coming days thinking about all their hopes and dreams for the year ahead. I’ve learned over the years that things do not change because of the year on the calendar. Things change with intentionality.

Never stop learning.

I think that is a good life goal for all of us. Here are three things that I am learning (and re-learning).

Sometimes things get busy and it becomes easy to live out hours and days of our lives that are disconnected from what we say actually matters most.
