Week of Prayer & Fasting
WEEK OF PRAYER & FASTING 2017Prayer is powerful. It has often been said that “prayer changes things”. It is amazing to think that the God who created everything, invites us to not just talk AT HIM, but communicate WITH HIM! As we prepare to head into a new year, I want to invite you to join with us at Life Center Rainier for a week of prayer and fasting. That may sound intimidating or overwhelming, but it doesn’t need to be. Jesus wants to help us connect with Him! When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, He responds with what we call The Lord’s Prayer. This week, we will take a section of the Lord’s Prayer each day and make it a corporate focus of prayer.
In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
