The Power of Corporate Faith

Yesterday we launched our student summer internship.  We are taking the challenge to read through the New Testament in 30 days (NewThru30.com).  Yesterday in our reading I came across a passage in Matthew 9:1-2 that reminded me of the POWER of CORPORATE FAITH.

Jesus climbed into a boat and went back across the lake to his own town. Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven.”

Matthew 9:1-2 (NLT)

Jesus saw “their faith”!  Amazing!  Think about how many times you didn’t even realize the difference that your faith has been making in those who are around you.  When we have opportunity to get together as The Church, we need to remember that our faith (corporately and individually) makes a difference!

There are times where we may think of feel like it doesn’t matter if we do or do not show up.  The truth is that we each play a key part!  Show up, put your faith into action and watch the difference that corporate faith can make!
