Celebrate!

Today we had the opportunity to celebrate our interns who served this last year within our student ministry. It was an awesome day! We kicked it off with some rock climbing in North Bend and then had a great BBQ and games tonight.

It is important to celebrate what is important to you.  For me there are a few things that I try to focus on celebrating:

Jesus

He saved me and continues to pour out His undeserved favor and grace on my life.  I love when I get the opportunities to simply “celebrate” Him for WHO He is and WHAT He has done in my life.

My Family

I do not deserve what God has blessed me with.  The wife I have and our children are so much more that anything I could have ever asked for.  It is so important for me to celebrate them in my life.  I want them to know that I value who they are and the difference that they make in my life.

Friends

The people who are closest to us need to know that they are important to us.  Sometimes we excel at this and other times we fail.  I want to be someone who celebrates others.  Let people know the difference they make and how important they are to you.  Whether it is a close personal friend, a student in our youth ministry, extended family, casual acquaintances, leaders, interns…I want to be someone who is intentional about celebrating them!

In celebrating others it helps us to focus less on us and it helps to remind us that we cant do this thing called life alone.  Celebrate someone today.
