5 Truths I've Learned from Amber

Today is my wife's 32nd birthday. As I was reflecting on her and the gift she is to me I wanted to share five truths that her life has shown me throughout the years.You Look Most Like Jesus When You GiveThere are few people that I have ever met in my life that give like Amber does. She gives her time, energy and effort to others on a daily basis. She amazes me in that way. As she consistently lives her life this way, I can't help but see Jesus in it.Kindness is BeautifulIf you have spent two seconds with Amber you know that she is a kind, gracious person. She has shown me how beautiful this is.Consistency Brings ImpactAmber is consistent. She has been a consistent wife, mom and pastor. She might not be the loudest person in the room. She might not be the first person to grab the microphone. But her life and actions lived out with consistency have had an enormous impact on the lives of students and leaders that we have had the privilege of serving throughout the years.We Don't Just Receive Grace, We Extend ItI'm thankful for Amber's willingness to extend grace. She is gracious with people when I am not. She extends undeserved kindness my direction when I don't deserve it. Her faith isn't a few hours on a Sunday - she models what it is to know Jesus and make Him known.Enjoy Each MomentThis is an area that I am continually learning from her. "Each day is a gift - enjoy it." Amber constantly reminds me to enjoy it. Don't allow stress to rob you of the blessing that God has given you NOW. I love the way that this is going to bless and shape the way that our kids will grow up!
